dealer installed stripes

3M will last 5 years or so.
Cheaper vinyls just dont hold up to the UV rays of the sun
and their adhesive is just not up to snuff and the edges
lift quite easily...

oh yeah I checked them out turns out the land lord kicked them out so I don't know where they are now sorry. I'm looking for another place cause I want to get my stripes redone (want the bumper to bumper stripes) and I need some tint work done too. If I get something done I'll let you know where and what kinda job they did. One place I was looking at was called "House of Tints" they seem to do vinyl work too so I was gonna check that place out. (its in Santa Ana though)
and thanks for clearing that up 157db

3M makes good stuff and cheap stuff like any other vinyl company. When i order rolls of vinyl it can be ordered in 3 year, 5 year, 7 year and 9 year. some companies vary on the years it is guaranteed to last. but they are all about the same. There is also different adhesive backing options. If they are selling super cheap stripes i would say they are made from very cheap vinyl. I don't order anything less than 5 year, too many call backs on the cheap stuff. 90% of what i send out of my shop is 7 and 9 year vinyls. All my printed full color decals are printed on 7 and 9 year vinyl. Just better stuff...
