Default steering wheel ????'s

How do you remove the silver parts around the steering wheel controls.? I dont want to break them..

any help would be great. thanks..

Wow... They really just pop off? what's holding them in place? I'm curious cause I want to remove mine too. Mine are scratched and I can't stand looking at the scratches.

The wheel has a rubber like material around the controls, there are holes in this rubber that plugs from the plastic pieces fit into. they are a tight fit.
