I want to paint this torch red to match my stang( it's metal) and suggestions on what I could use, I figure it has to be heat resistant . I found this but does anybody know of anything cheaper .

That's pretty cool. I'd leave it black, to be honest.

As far as heat, there will be a good 1/2" or more between it and the exhaust tip so I wouldn't expect the need to treat it like a painted engine block component. If that brake caliper paint matches, I'd go for it. You could easily strip it and start over if you had to. I'm sure a body shop could provide you a pint or so of an exact match if needed.
