Dealer pin stripe removal?

Actually, I like this look, it's different and you don't see it often, but that is completely up to you.
Definitely vinyl tape. The Ford logo is a dead give away.
Nope, it will not hurt your paint if you remove it. After using a hair dryer to loosen up the adhesive, you can use WD-40 or Goo Gone to wipe off the glue. Then you clean the area and wax it.
If you have any questions about body stuff ask pascal, he's the expert around here on that subject.

Thanks for all the inputs guyz... With all of the positive comments about the stripes my plan now is to finish my performance mods, then re-visit it when I add the spoiler and wheels. At least I know its vinyl now and can be removed. I don't want the wing spoiler, I think what I'm looking at is a GT500 style and maybe that will work still with the stripes. But geez.. I'm still waiting on the brenspeed shipping confo for the tuner then comes the gear order -all this waiting, such fun!!!

Check out this website. A lot of guys on here have bought their spoilers from them. I also bought a spoiler for my daughter's Focus from them and was very pleased with the paint match.

Question for pascal
Pascal,
I still want to remove the pin stripe later this summer after our 'move' is finished. Thats another story...
I pulled the trigger on a 3M stripe off wheel, but then found my Makita cordless has two settings 0-350 or 0-1100RPM. The write-up on the stripe off wheel says 2000RPM is optimum.
So I am still panicky as heck on trying to get these off, but will give it ago when I can, 07Stang indicates they must be vinyl (and I agree with her after watching a youtube pinstriping lesson, seeing how they are cut around the doors and taper together at the ends), so my questions are:
1. Will the wheel work at 1100RPMs?
2. Whats the safest approach, hairdryer and wd-40/goo-gone, or the wheel?
(Somewhere I read the wheel can 'burn' paint...)
Thanks in advance to our resident body specialist, beers can be provided at a later date if there's an Orlando Mustang event you will be attending...:-)

Screw the wheel and use some heat and get under one
end and start a peeling.
NO NO to the Goo Goo Gone.
Not safe for painted surfaces.
Good ol paste wax with petrolium distillates
in it works good at removing the leftover adhesive.
Or go the the parts store and get some 3M Emblem Remover.
Thats the safest way.
I am just not up to putting a spinning anything up to my paint
for any reason...
Might as well poke the devil with his own pitchfork....
I have never seen those type of pinstripe and my vote is to
leave them alone if they are still adhered well...
No offense there PasCal

Wut?!?!?! Where?? Wut?!?!
Somebody say beer?!? I'll be right there!
OK, here's the answer:
1. That rubber wheel (called the Eraser) is good for 4000rpm, so your 1100 is cake.
2. The wheel is safe enough and the real gain is that you get the job done quick.
That's why pros use it. The trick is to not push on it, let it grab the edge of the glue and keep it there until there is no more edge, lol.
I will say that pin stripes don't require the Eraser since you have little build up from them.
It's like killing a fly with a 12 gauge.
Use wax and grease remover or mineral spirit to get rid of the thin layer of glue left by the pin stripe.
Hand glaze the area when you're done.

157 I don't think pascal takes offense, and no offense to you I wanted advice from pascal! I sometimes go at flies with 12 guages so that why I want advice...lol!!!
I get into working on minor wrench mods on the car, but I'm very hesitant to do anything 'show' wize, just don't want to wind up with something looking 'less' after doing 'more'!!! My plans are to just go clean black, swap to the 17's and add spoiler.. pretty simple simple. And maybe an interior change or two...
