Can you make the pic a little bigger? There's a bottlecap in the neighbors yard across the street and I can't quite make out the logo...

For real; kudos for getting prepared. I'll assume you had no choice and couldn't afford to get a beater. Still, it'll be white knuckle driving a good bit of the time when those roads are white.

I don't have an extra parking space for a beater without leaving it on the street.

I drove my Corvette in the winter before I bought the mustang. RWD cars go fine in the snow as long as you put on some good snow tires and weight in the rear. A Mustang with blizzaks will go better than a fwd beater car with all seasons, plus you don't have to worry about the mustang breaking down like you do with a $3000 beater car.

Plus, getting to work before all your SUV owning coworkers in the snow is priceless. Watching their little "everyone KNOWS RWD makes you die in snow!" knowledge go up in smoke is priceless.

I've only driven FWD once in the snow (in 20 years of driving), it scared me, all my instincts were wrong. I've always run snows, but I've never put more wieght in the back than a full tank of gas.

I would agree, i do put my 08 away for the winter but i do drive my 96 gt with 4 snows and the only thing that pulls away from me from a light in the snow is a suv with snows on it!

Just remember to put that sand in the back seat....NOT IN THE TRUNK! In the seat will make the car handle a lot more neutral - ur *** end is gunna be sliding around enuf as it is, but with another buck forty that far back, the inertia will make it even worse. oh yea, I live in Canada, and RWD since 16 yrs old. Btw, nice winter wheels......... hell, I had to use the same wheels for my winters. my .02
