Default Attaching front license plate

So I live in one of those states that requires a front plate to be displayed/mounted. I'm having the Roush front put in, and I really dread having to drill holes into it. Is there a secure alternative way to mount the plate? I could run the risk of not having it there but not sure if it will be worth the hassle if some nitpicky cop does pull me over for it. I was considering just tossing the plate in my car, but that seems like asking for trouble too.

Some members have made some brackets that screws right under the face bar.
Best would be to have a spring hinge system to flip it down for easy cleaning of the bumper.

Yea, they also make a James (Jane in your case) Bond type that is motorized. It slides out when needed and slips away under the bumper when in stealth mode. If thinks keep going the way they are here in Cali. I may get one for the rear (since I don't have front plates). By law I am supposed to display one on the front also but I never do. Anyway, they are thinking of making a new law that they will be allowed to set up speed radar units any place they please and send you a ticket in the mail. These will be fully automated radar units with cameras, no cops needed. So driving around with a hidden plate may become a necessity. Who the heck can do the speed limit ALL THE TIME? Not me, I'll be the first to admit it.

There are a few places selling both the manual and remotely operated stealth front license plate brackets. They slide down under the bumper when in stealth mode. The remotely operated one has a small remote (about the size of the key FOB). I've seen it up close. It's pretty cool.

This is like cheating, If I am speeding they have to see me to give me a ticket. I hate when start doing this stuff.

I agree, and so do many other people. By what I understand they are copying what Arizona has already done. In AZ they started a while back with these set ups and they set them to catch people that were doing 13 miles above the speed limit. After a while they found how much money they could make out of it so they reduced it to 9 miles over the speed limit. Now the people of AZ are really pissed. By what I have heard they are trying to create a referendum to eliminate these radar tickets. Here in Cali. Gov. Arnold decided it's an easy way to make some easy money. Knowing how they are here in Ca, they will probably set it to catch you 5 miles over the speed limit. It's all about money. In case some of you might think it's no big deal, a simple speeding ticket here can run you $700, so it is a big very deal. For some people that's an entire weeks pay check.

alkemist, I know what you mean about having to have two plates. We unfortunately have that law here in VA too. I hate the fact when you purchase a car, they already drill holes in your bumper with out asking. If I had thought ahead when the car was on the carrier, I would have told them not to put holes in my bumper but I wasn't thinking.

This is what I would purchase if I were to get a new bumper. A little pricey, but cool;

This would be cool too;

Those motorized license plates are pretty sweet. I'll have to look into those. I wouldn't mind paying a decent amount to keep from drilling holes and looking high tech at the same time, haha.

As for speed radars, we have speed cameras here already They just take a picture of your car and send the ticket to you in the mail. They also have red light cameras here too. Heard they are soon thinking of installing them on the highway!! That is ridiculous, people will never get anywhere in a timely manner. Like the donut patrol have anything better to do. In the county I live in, if you get into a car accident and there are no injuries, the police tell you to not even bother calling them...

EDIT: LOL stop toll tickets http://www.amazon.com/PHOTOBLOCKER-M.../dp/B002CHFEF0
