Default Painting Wheels

I'm getting stock 18's (silver bullitt) from a friend soon. I want the spokes black and to leave the rim polished. Any idea how much a body shop would charge me to get them painted? I am also considering doing it myself. I have see some instructions various places online. Anyone else painted their stock rims and had success? I don't wanna do it if it's gonna look like crap.

I've never seen any painted rims that really looked amazing, in my opinion. An option you could look in to is powder coating, most shops will do the entire job for $50-$75 bucks a rim, from media blasting to powdering and mounting. You can get a true gloss black or any other color, whereas it'll be tough to get a real shiny black from simply painting the rims, as well as the durability factor of powder coating.
