The dreaded Hood Pin Debate!

I got the Shelby style ones as well. got them here: Laurel Mountain Mustang Parts
then got them custom engraved for my cars production #. Some people don't like the Scott Drake stuff, but the quality was great. I am really happy with them.

Did you have to seal the paint around the holes after you had drilled the hood? (I use my car all year round so it is exposed to the elements).
Do you have them on your current hood? If not why?
Sorry for all the questions!

Those look great, do you have any issues with corrosion where you had them engraved?

Thanks so much, I love the wide placement of these! Did you have to remove anything from the engine bay (Headlights etc) to get the upright bolts in place? Or did you just drill and and screw them in place?

O5Mustang and I both have the same pins in the same location. You will have to remove your headlights to get to the bottom side of the pin location to put on the nut. You will also need a hole saw to enlarge that bottom side hole so you can get nut on too. You will not have to seal the paint around the hole as the Shelby style pins do that for you.

thanks for responding Cutter.....the holes we used are already there, after removing the bumper cover and headlights, I used a dremel to cut out the area underneath and a drill bit on top to enlarge it just enough to enable the pin to be adjustable up and down...
