Default SHR Billet handles and switch plates installed - pictures

Every since I've had the car, I couldn't stand the cheesy plastic door handles, so I ordered the black anodized billet door handles and switch plates from Silver Horse Racing and think they look great with my interior color. The fit and finish is outstanding - they fit just like the factory parts. They also come in satin silver anodized (like my cup holder bezel) or triple plated chrome.

Looks great! Were the handles easy to install?

Yeah, once I figured out the secret for getting the old ones out. Their instructions didn't mention it, so I actually took some photos of the install and sent to SHR to see if they wanted to include them in their instructions. The door panel is very easy to remove, and the second one only took me about 30 minutes. If you get them let me know and I can explain it.

Also, I would like to mention that Marcello, the owner of SHR, is very helpful and great to work with. My wife actually ordered the satin anodized handles along with the cup holder bezel for me for Christmas, but they back ordered the handles and told her they were changing the design and only had a few black anodized and chrome left. I didn't like the new design as much so I called SHR, and Marcello talked with me for a while and even sent some pictures for me to get an idea of what I wanted.

Those flow great with your interior! So did you get a chance to see the new design as Marcello posted a sneak peek on TMS, but it was only a cropped picture of the handle end??

Thanks guys.

Madscotsman, I got the console cover at Passion Automotive:

Doogie65, yeah Marcello actually sent me a picture of the new design. It was very nice, but just didn't look as retro to me. It looks more like something that would be in a luxury car. He said they only stopped making the other one because everyone was copying it. I did see several other manufacturers on the web with identical looking handles, but I know the SHR quality is great, so I wanted to stick with them.

Man, now I kind of wish I would have ordered a set of the original handles when they still had them available in a satin finish. Since I refuse to buy those knock-offs, guess I will need to wait and see how the new design comes out.

BTW, how do like the armrest cover?? I was considering the upgraded one from Ford that more padding than the stock hard plastic one, but now I might need to go with a black one like yours.

Doogie65, SHR still had a few chrome handles left when I talked to him if that is an option for you, and the price is reduced $30.00 from what they originally were.

I really like the cover a lot. It is nicely padded and I like the stitching on top instead of just the flat look. I also like the way you can do the contrasting colors for the sides and top and also the stitching if you want. it is great quality and it fit perfectly.

Yeah, I saw the black and chrome ones on their website, but I want to stick with a satin finish as it really matches the rest of the interior better.
