Default Hid's

I'm not really sure if this would go here, and if it doesn't I apologize beforehand.

I just ordered an HID kit from ddm tuning and got everything hooked up how it was shown. The kit that I ordered didn't require me to run power from the batter just plug and play to the OEM harness. The HID's work fine when the car is shut off, but when I turn the car on they flicker and completely go out. I've searched for solutions to this and have found a few possibilities. What I found was putting a fuse in that had 5 more amps than the one controlling it now. I've refered to my owners manual to try to figure out which fuse is used for the headlights but can't seem to find it. I've found the fuse for high beams, just not the low beams. Could anybody help me out with this?

It sounds strange that you wouldn't have a relay hooked directly to battery power. I have a kit from RetroSolutions and that's the way it's hooked up.
Where did you buy your kit? Can you contact them about your problem?

Agreed, should have a relay and power from the battery for optimum power capability. I also have used Retro-Solutions for three different vehicles and all with relays and no problems.

Actually HIDs draw LESS power than the OEM filiment bulbs.
Whoed a thunk it...
The SJB does not like the lower amperage draw and
thinks one of the OEM bulbs is burned out.
You must fool the SJB to get the flickering to stop.

Yea, I finally got in touch with a technician today and he told me that the computer was picking up a burnt out bulb and wasn't sending power to the harness. So he told me to buy these....

interesting, a resistor can go a long way! lol. At least they have it in a nice box that's all plug and play.
