My wife has a 2006 Pony. She wants to put on Gt 500 rims on it. Will 18X9 work on it. Also she wants to put on a wheel adapter on the rear. What size wheel adapter will work on this setup? Would a 1 inch work? What brand of wheel adapter would you recommend ? Thanks

 

The GT500 wheels will work just fine. Not too sure about wheel adapters, maybe someone else can comment on that.

 

Why do you think you need adapters - what is the purpose for your wife wanting them? The GT500 wheel will go on with no problem

 

She wants the wider look in the back. Some call them spacers some call the adapters. Nothing to do with the GT500 rims fitting. Thanks

 

Forget wheel spacers with the GT500 wheels. They're made to fit all S197's. What you want to do is mount the widest tire that is recommended for a 9" wheel. And are you SURE they're 9"? My OE takeoff GT500 wheels are 9.5". Perhaps Knock-offs are 9"???

Check tire specs on the tirerack website to get an idea of what tire sizes will fit a 9" or 9.5" wheel. But I recommend a 255 up front. I have 275's all around and the car tramlines something fierce on truck rutted roads.
