Why wouldn't automotive paint and clear work? Are bumpers take the abuse of rocks/bugs, so I'm sure the grill could take the same abuse.

here....ill be the decision maker.....

im a painter.....

dont bother painting it...

it will flake off.....

buy the stack racing grille like i have for $149 shipepd from AM, then sell your old one on here and make most of that money back.......

if you paint it, WHEN it starts flaking off, no one will want to buy it....

a ponly emblem will stick on with 3m double sided tape with no problem too, thats how i have my roush emblem on my stack racing grille...

I got an extra pony and painted it black. Even tough i prepped it and put on clear coats it is already chipping from rocks. If you want it black buy a black one or you will keep getting silver spots. See if you can sell your silver one to cover some of the cost for the black one.

have you ever looked for black centercaps to get rid of those "sore thumb" silver circles in the middle of your wheels? get black ones, it will stealth it up more....

haha thanks, I was actually looking at those yesterday. Im going to order some wider tires and 18x10s for the rear, along with the center caps.
