Default Wheel alignment with fender question...

Anyone out there running wheels/tires that extend BEYOND the fender/wheel well?

Or are all wheels typically in-line or inside the fender?

Looking at some wheel options and the backspacing is a little tight - wondering if a half inch to an inch outside the fender will still look ok.

Anyone with pics - would greatly help, thanks!

the offset of my rear rims cause them to pultrude out just alittle bit, but nothing near a 1/2" - 1"...that's a bit much for me.

Yeah, sticking out won't look right for sure.
Anything passed flush IMO, is not Mustang related, especially on the front. Yikes!

... besides the fact that you'll be sandblasting your paint with all the crap your tires will kick up.

Mine are the 99-04 offset, they stick out a little, not sure how much.
Heres a few pics, not the best but all I have right now.

The front are pretty much flush, the rear do stick out a bit. It makes it look kind of mean, which is what I was going for.

Do I regret getting this offset?
Not really.
Would I do it again if I got another set of rims?
Probably not. I would get the s197 offset if I ever replace these.

My fronts are within the fender, but the sidewall bulge of the 285/40/18 rear tires protrude out from the fender just barely at the center of the bulge. The wheel is inside the fender, it's just the "rounded" part of the sidewall that barely sticks out.

I have the same size in back and they are right at the edge of the fender but do not look bad.
That's the price of going really wide in the back.
