I like the moderately retro look of our S197's, but yeah I'd likely **** off a ****load of purists, as I'd love to have a 69-73 fastback, and have it basically ripped down to frame to put as much modernized shiznat in it as possible. ABS, 6-speed manual trans, as big a bang for the buck engine that could fit in the sucker, etc...
Would not do this to my S197 though. Rather have the real toy to alter to my liking.
If I could afford to do what I wanted, ya, I'd likely get this or similar.

i dont know , the 1969 fastback is my dream car , and right now i do love my s197 as well , they look pretty nice though but i rather have both , and the 69 is gonna have a 429 in it , of course the 1967 fastback is a hot piece of *** too , that one wiht a 427 would be sweet as well
