I still don't understand; are you trying to install '10+ tailights in a 2009??? If so, please post some before and after and DURING pics. THAT I'd like to see...

Same goes for trying to modify the existing 09 fixture. Of course, there ARE aftermarket fixtures for the 05-09 that have LED bulbs.

I think what he's trying to do is... he bought the 2010 style looking tail lights for the 2005-2009 Mustangs and wants to install LED bulbs in them.

Yeah you are right I bought those tail light and I was searching for long time for led bulbs 2010+

Now I found that not only mustang 2010+ has this kind of bulbs, also the new ford tarus x has it... I found also on New chevy malibu, they use the same technology ...

Anyway I will work on it for a while and I think I need to order some parts

So happy Christmas for you all and hope I can finish my project

Best of luck. And I'm serious about some pics to show what you did so folks can learn and do it, too (assuming it works, of course...).

Cool did you go through Ford for the parts? I see you got the harness for it as well. I heard the connector was hard to find. I'm guessing the LED bulbs are not going to be a direct fit to the housings, so you are probably going to have to modify the hole where the bulb twists in. Maybe epoxy them in place and seal it up really good. I might give this a shot myself. I put LED bulbs in my 06 tails, but they don't reflect as much as I would like them to. Really bright from directly behind, but not so much off axis a bit.
