\On the wheel weights, we use 1/4oz weights - so alot of times it looks like alot more weight than is actually there. The standard for balance on OE wheels is usually within 2% of the total weight of the wheel. The standard for balance on aftermarket wheels is usually within 3% of the total weight of the wheel. That could be as much as 12.5 oz, which is insane. Our wheels/tires typically average around 2-2.5%, which on the same wheel would be 8.32-10.4oz. That's assuming a 26lb wheel (like an AMR, RTR, TSW). It sounds like alot, but we're right in line between an aftermarket wheel and an OE wheel. Keep in mind, we also have to fight tires that are known for being a PITA to balance.
Thanks for your suggestion on the lubrication for mounting the tires, I'm going to make sure that it becomes a check on our Wheel/Tire readiness checkpoint. I know they usually do, but I'll make sure we add it so that it's part of the check right before they go in the box.

As far as the wheel weights go, it makes much more sense now. I never thought to actually check and see how much each weight was.
As an aside (not AM's deal by any means), I'll probably end up painting the weights black with the leftover plastidip that I have so they don't stand out as much as they do now.
Overall, I'm incredibly happy with the service and quality that I've gotten from AM. I can't believe how fast they shipped, even though I selected standard shipping.
As far as the chin spoiler goes, it looks like I'm going to have to replace my front bumper so it's a no go. I think some jackass at my college backed into it because I've got two nice little dents and scratches on it. I'll probably do a GTCS front if I can find one. The turn signals are going black next week. I'm also getting some light covers for the tails.

Thread bump time.
I was looking at my car the other day (I thought I had a cracked rear rotor and I panicked) and I noticed something funny. My rear tires are mounted in the wrong direction. The "rotation" arrow is facing toward the back of the car, rather than the front. That can't be good, can it?

erm, woops.
do you have 1 tire that is mounted backwards, and the rest are fine?
or did you just go woops and put 2 on the wrong way?
if they are both wrong direction, just rotate them
btw go take a look at my thread, bought nearly the same thing as you

If it's just one then whoever mounted them mounted them the wrong way.
For instance, if both rears are on the wrong way, swap them side to side and they will be right.
You can only go front to back with directional tires when rotating.
I do mine every 3-5k depending on usage. Swap fronts to back and repeat on the next.

Check to make sure that there aren't 2 that are the wrong way.

Problem exists between wheel and user...(me on the right)
