I feel the same way. Every time I see a car with dark rims I say to myself, "man, they really need to clean those rims!" True chrome is more high maintenance. I think of it as a labor of love.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of those. I prefer the charcoal. You will never get everyone to agree on what is best. What is best is what you like. I usually go to one of the tire sites that sells combos... I know one of the popular ones has it to where you can put your car on it, change the colors, and the wheels you want, might not be exactly what you are wanting, but it would give you an idea on how it would look.

Black/dark wheels are the current fad. Why not be totally unique and just wash your wheels once in a while?.

I just laugh at black wheels. Especially when guys post pictures and tell each other how great they look. Really? You can't even see the designs in 80% of the photos and you can't see the designs from twenty feet away. They're just black shadows and make your car look like it's got four black steel space savers on it.

On top of that, the black wheels on black cars is just a rehash of a pre-Miami Vice fad: Monochromatic white. Come on, you can't tell me this is any different than those white Mercedes SLs with white trim and white wheels. At least back then, guys washed their cars.

Here's a picture from another thread on this site.

These "bronze" wheels give the illusion of brake dusted wheels that have rusted. How cool is that? this guy will NEVER have to wash his wheels to keep them looking like this.

There is the pot calling the kettle black! The last pic you posted of your car, you have dark grey wheels on your DSG Mach 1.

See that is the reason I dislike bronze or black rims. They always look like the owner needs to clean his tires.....but to each their own.

My wheels are not black and they are not dark grey. They are not even all medium gray. They are not brake dust/rust color. I have Team III Halibrand replicas with polished bare aluminum rims, polished bare aluminum full size knock off spinners and rough cast center sections factory painted Eastwood Detail Gray to look like the original magnesium.

Here's a new signature picture for you:
