Stress is a killer man. I know its a sh#tload of money but in the end its your car not your life. I hope all goes well tomorrow.

 

Sorry to hear about all your troubles. Like people have said, it all seems very 'end of the world' now, but within weeks you'll probably be laughing as you blast down the road in your solid ride.

Like I said, our transmission are notoriously bad. I got 10k miles on my car, its already had one rebuild. My moms has 4k miles on it, it had a new tranny put in at 1k (when all was stock!)

I'm gonna be looking at a upgraded transmission at some point myself. Either that, or teach myself how to rebuild a transmission.

Do you have a warranty on yours? How long did it take for you to put those 10k on?

I had all the work done on the tranny and had the clutch and flywheel replaced with the SPEC ones.
I got the car back too.

That knocking noise is still there at idle... really a surprise to me,
but it is not nearly as loud.
