Lowering spring choices
Anyone have any opinions on the various aftermarket lowering springs on the market? I have checked out the Eibach and BMR springs and they seem reasonable in price. Also, is it absolutely necessary to upgrade any other suspension part if I lower the car, say the avg 1-1.5 inches?
I have thought about the Saleen package but OMG the price!! Is it all necessary, if all I want is the lowered look and not all the autcross/racing performance?
Thanks

Strongly consider rear only. Some mfgs sell rear only. (You'll correct the HUGE tire to wheelwell gap in rear and get the *** end down where it belongs) Most likely will need adj panhard bar but you could check before and after and if you're within an 1/8 or so after, you save some $$ there. I needed to use one and went with BMR (nice quality, easy install)

Both the Eibach and Steeda springs are a good choice if all you are looking at doing is gving the car a nice drop. The Saleen kit is a very nice complete kit. It will give you about a 1.3 / 1.4 drop. If you really look at it , the price isn't that bad. If you look around, you can find some good prices for it. Good Luck with you choice!
Guys thanks so much, all good advice by the way. I'm planting new rubber and rims and the outer profile of the new setup is about 1.5 - 2 inches lower, wheel and tire. I think the gap will not look right. I'm stock suspension now and going to 20" Saleen 7-spokes with 245/35 front and 275/35 rear. I think the diff will show. Opinions? I think I'm going to have to go on a diet some time soon. [&:]
