different alternator?

RE: different alternator?
It ain't listed on the window sticker if it does. I don't see anything about a bigger altenator on the window sticker. Now it says 60amp battery and heat shield. I wonder if they meant 60A altenator. 60 amps would be right for an altenator, and waaaaay to small for a battery!

RE: different alternator?
actually a few things change if your options vary, I got mine and the dealer told me it came with the following upgrades
1. Shaker 1000 - Bigger Alternator
2. Alarm - Better Battery
3. 18" Bullit Wheels - Heavier Suspension
Not sure if they are full of it or not, but they told me it came with this stuff when I bought mine!

RE: different alternator?
I would expect a bigger altenator than 60A. My old 1971 Buick had a 61A on it, my 1997 Dodge Dakota has a 120A on it!
I'll see if I can read any labels on the altenator. They might say what the amperage is.
Also, that is an interesting quote about the 18" wheels. I have them too, but they are not the bullet style; they are similar but flat spokes instead of rounded ones.
Thx,
Mike
