Default What Octane? tuning?

For those that have tuned,

what octane do you run?

What octane do you perfer or recommend to run?

Does 93 hurt anything the 87 wouldn't? if tuned properly

What octane is brenspeeds best tune for?

thanks guys, I'm stuck on who to order a xcal from. Cj pony is up the road and i'd like to try them because of the hands on experience they could offer. I'd like to know about what tunes are what before deciding. I don't wanna pass up Brenspeeds tune for something I wont be happy with. I've only ever read great things about Brent.

The guy at cj pony had mentioned going to a 93 octane and turning up the injectors to get any real performance. ? Is he correct in his thinking... just doing some research so I feel comfortable when i decide.

What are some things Brenspeed adjusts?

Last question, Is a CAI a must or can the same performance level be obtained with just a tuner? thanks!

i dont tune.. yet

i run 87

highest octane recomended, but if you dont need it dont waste your money

no the higher octane wont hurt anything, higher the octane the cleaner the burn also will take more hit before ignition... so you dont get detonation on highcompression engines for example.. you got a high comrpession engine compressed air is hot enough to ignite the 87 octane beofre the spark which isnt good, higher the octane the more resisitant it is to detonation so it can be ignited with spark

CAI isnt a must lol but enough gains can be gained with a tuner based on your stock application

I went with a Diablo Predator. I was running the canned 93 tune and then stepped up to a custom dyno tune by a chipmaster revolution dealer. Definately recommend a good CAI regardless of your choice in programmer.

I tried the 87 oct and the 93 oct tune. I went with the 93 oct tune because I did notice a difference in performance, but I run a Diablo.
