Yes the drone at 2000 is annoying. I cruise at about 80 on the interstate here in TN with no noise problems. In 5th the drone is around 65 if I remember correctly.

I have the Borla Cat-Backs and drone is around 3000-3500 RPM. I've gotten used to it but in the beginning, it was terrible.

On the 25th, I'll be going over to Revolution (2 1/2 hours from NY) where he will be installing a few mods. One of them will be a resonator that will go between the cat backs and something else (cant remember) and that will eliminate drone and should make things a lot smoother all around.

Borla is sending me something for mine to be welded into the pipe that "will stop the drone, quieten it down a tad", does not bother flow to bad, "and still has that deep bora sound"

whats the point of having a mustang that isnt "too loud"..i just dont get it.....my love of the mustang began with flows on 5.0's...you all know what im talking about.....you know how many times i told my girlfriend to shut up while she was trying to talk so i could hear that sonic orgasm drive by.......i have the loudmouths on my 05..LOVE EM....i can keep it real quiet when passing cops ......or i can rip through a tunnel or overpass and scare the crap out of the poor guy behind me......just my 2 cents

I'm not saying quiet is good but at a point its just annoying for the rider and people around you. From what I've heard some of the louder exausts have some raspiness to them which I don't like but eveyone likes different stuff.
