i just bring my car down on the secondary latch, and give a solid push till its inplace, i dont like slamming hoods.. id prefer a palm print i can whipe off

yep...mines a little hard to shut/latch also

I just never latch it all the way...that way it's easier to open the hood when someone wants to see in the engine bay

if you dont latch it allthe way , yu might find yourself needing a new windshield and hood while going down the road

I know, that was actually an attempt at sarcasm...didn't go over too well I guess.

Gotta have that finess with the palm push though. Last thing you want is a palm DENT you can't wipe off!![sm=oopssign.gif] Soft aluminum hood=easy to dent.

lol my buddy did that to his! LOL he freaked! we pushed it back through from underneath, but now theres a little mark like it got hit by a golf ball lol

maybe try hitting the latch with some wd-40? My Ford truck can get balky sometimes and when it does, I spray it with some wd-40 and it slicks right up

Letting the hood slam down ensures that the hood has contacted the rubber stops and that there is enough backpressure against the latch to keep it closed and the leading edge tight. I think you are asking for trouble if you mess with the rigging. If you are in doubt, take it to Ford.
