Default RE: trunk lid liners

I was wondering if any of you ever thought of building a trunk lid liner yourself.
I haven't done anything like that yet. I was thinking maybe you can use a thin piece of laun plywood and cut it to the shape you need.
Attaching some fabric to it. My wife shops at Joanns Fabric all the time and I occassionally go with her. And for the logo in the center, maybe a embroided picture of the pony,MUSTANG, or a personalized statement. My wife has an embroidery machine and has done so basic stuff. That's one idea. Or how about cutout of the pony made in wood or metal airbrushed or painted in the color or your car or any color you want. Then you glue it to the center of the liner.

Instead of drilling holes into the trunk lid and risking drilling thru your trunk (I can see this happening) you attach a belt and loop velcro piece to corners of the lid liner and trunk lid itself and push into place.

Also this be great if you want to swap lid liners (have different ones made up)at anytime without damaging anything.

What do you guys think about this? Just some ideas that I wanted to share with you guys.
