Tint
I understnad what your saying, but i have never heard of it being described any other way. This is how the tint shop that has always done my work refers to it and as far as i can tell, all other shops in this area refer to it in the same way. Perhaps i have it backwards.
I know what you're saying. When I was in Atlanta, the tint shop that did my windows told me I could only do 65%. Not knowing anything about tint and the different ratings, I said ok I'll take it. What he was refering too was the amount of tint. Then when I got the invoice, it said 35% tint. I said WTF, I wanted 65% (the max) that is what you said you were going to do!! He calmed me down and explained the tint itself is rated by the amount of light it allows to pass. I felt like such an idiot. -Joe
lol i dont know what it is in KY..i have 17% all the way around and im getting 50% all the way down the front windsheild next week
30% all the way around. This is darker than I wanted, but the lightest this particular shop had. Texas allows 25% max on side windows. Keep in mind that the state listed percentage is the film PLUS the factory tint! So it you put 30% on, it will test at 27% or so. I don't know about other states, but in Texas the police DO check window tint to make sure it's legal if they pull you over for anything.
