Default Flooding problems...

And I dont mean fuel...

Got out of the car after work yesterday after it had been raining all day and the roads were very wet on the way home only to find water sitting on the passenger side floor area. The carpet was soaked through and as I drove it to the dealer this morning to have it looked at I turned the radio off and I can actually hear water sloshing back and forth under the carpet. Enter my 1st problem with the mustang I guess. Wish I could have picked problems, this is not one I would have chosen

Hopefully they figure out where its coming from today and I get the car back in a reasonable amount of time.

Dealer just called, thats exactly what it was.

This was probably the best dealer experience I've had in the past few years. My previous car was an Audi a6 and I had numerous problems (as I did with my a4) and the dealer was a pain to deal with. This time, however, the dealer was more than happy to accomodate and even ordered in new wiring and electronics for me to replace anything that may have gotten wet on that side.

So... just FYI if anyone gets water on the passenger side coming down the inside of the firewall, thats most likely what the problem is.

was this a leak that it came with from the factory or did this develop over time?

Came from the factory, I've had the car about a month and have put about 800 miles on it and this is actually the first heavy rain we've had since I've owned it.

Oh i did immediately. I dont try and resolve any issues while its under warranty No use wasting my time when they do it for free. They were actually the ones who found the leak and cleaned the water out. It goes in again tomorrow so they can replace all the electronics and wiring on that side (per the regional Ford service rep's advice thankfully)
