Default 5.0 Engine flooding?

Okay, my mother's got a 1995 5.0 that she's taken to several mechanics, and no one can figure this out:

When the car's first turned over and put it gear, it tries to die occasionally, with a sputter of black exhaust.

Now where this is generally nothing more than annoying, I'm sure it's related to the problem I started this thread for:

When the car's been driven for a while in warm weather, it dies. Now, I suspect some sort of flooding due to the scent of gas I get. I if I recall, 5.0's have a bit of an issue with overheating, but the damn radiator seems fine, coolant's good, and the car doesn't SHOW any sign of overheating.

Any clue?

Default RE: 5.0 Engine flooding?

its been to a mechanic so i assume atleast one of them pulled the codes, what are they, if not, that should be the first step. other than that the guessing will begin.
