What he meant to say is claim Single and 0 exemptions on your W-4 form; The W2 is what you get at the end of the year to file your taxes.

The key is to make sure you claim Married and O Dependants or single and O Dependants on your W-2 i think it is I always get those numbers mixed up. That way they take the max out of each paycheck. That way although not guaranteed you should get money back each year.
Oh and H&R Block does my taxes.

Keep as much of YOUR money as you can through the year and earn intrest on it, don't give it to the government to spend and earn intrest on just to give you back the principal at the end of the year. Why do people get excited when they get money back, it's your money! I'm mad at myself if I get more than $400 back from state and federal at the end of the year.

Another way to look at is, if you gave a friend money all year long and at the end of the year they pay you back without any intrest are you going to be happy and say "hey my buddy just gave me $2000"? I doubt it, it's the same thing.
