I want to know who is doing your guy's taxes first off. I never get anything back...
And to beat all hell my EX claimed my son for the second year in a row when we are suposed to go back an fourth every year...
GRRRR...this post just made me realize that. +1 to everyone who made me think about taxes...I just got off the phone with her. I am calling the IRS tomorrow.
The key is to make sure you claim Married and O Dependants or single and O Dependants on your W-2 i think it is I always get those numbers mixed up. That way they take the max out of each paycheck. That way although not guaranteed you should get money back each year.
Oh and H&R Block does my taxes.
Richard
What he meant to say is claim Single and 0 exemptions on your W-4 form; The W2 is what you get at the end of the year to file your taxes.

Yeah that's it. Thanks Like i said I always get those two screwed up.

Tik_Tok, in your post, you wrote, "I've seen the light" beside the Electric Water pump. Is that for real? Just asking because I saw someone else post about before and after dynos showing only 2hp to the wheels for that mod. Was your experience different? -Joe

Haven't gotten it yet, that's part of my wish list, if it lasts as long as Mezziere claims, I'd like it for the cooling effect. Where'd you read the 2hp post? I'd like to know.

Not picking on you Richard this is just a general problem I have.

[/Rant]
Why in the he** do you want to give the feds a intrest free loan for a year??????????? Keep as much of YOUR money as you can through the year and earn intrest on it, don't give it to the government to spend and earn intrest on just to give you back the principal at the end of the year. Why do people get excited when they get money back, it's your money! I'm mad at myself if I get more than $400 back from state and federal at the end of the year.
[/Rant off]

Another way to look at is, if you gave a friend money all year long and at the end of the year they pay you back without any intrest are you going to be happy and say "hey my buddy just gave me $2000"? I doubt it, it's the same thing.

No problem I did not take it that way. Anyway onto the question and sorry about the attempted thread hijacking. I personally would rather get a large refund every year as opposed to nothing or risking the chance of owing. I have owed them before and it is not fun. I have done it your way and I do not like it. Sure it gets me a little bit more money each week but not enough for me to justify losing the 4k I get back every year. I completely understand what you are saying and I understand that you are saying to put it into a savings account but i prefer to do it this way. It works better for me. It allows me to pay that 600.00 registration in April for this new car i am getting and not have to worry about it..
