RE: Satellite Radio
Look at both closely and decide on which ones lineup you like better. The merger is always a possibility so you may want to wait because thier is no information stating if current radios will pick up all channels if the merger happens. Personally I hope the merger doesn't happen but that is besides the point. I personally have xm for its music lineup. Sirius has better sports and talk if you are into that. Either way both are way better then the garbage on FM.

I have read that both radios will be able to work with each other. You will also have the choice of either XM or Sirius or both. If you get both packages, they are supposed to give you a little discount like a few dollars off. I am not sure how the extra radios will factor into this. Are they going to charge an extra $10 if you get both or will they only charge an extra $5 like they do now for the extra radio. Only time will tell how this all shakes out for the consumer.
The thing I don't get, is who is merging with who? Is XM merging with Siruis or is Sirius merging with XM? I always thought XM was more profitable than Siruis so XM should take over Sirius.

Yes Sirius bought out XM and according to the website and updates they are suppose to merge. That's what I seen brodcasted when I log in at work to listen to it. Anyway I have sirius in my other car and love it. It's great to log in and listen to over the computer or just to take the reciever out of the car and hook it up to the radio at home. All in all just not listening to commercials anymore is worth the cost. I hate commercials!!!!

There is no reason to delay signing up for either XM or Sirius. Matter-o-fact, if you sign up now for a long term committment it sounds like you will lock in your rate and wont be subject to any possible rate increases aftter the merger.

Why would XM sell to Sirius? XM is more profitable. Are you sure its that way?

If it turns out the way it sounds like it will, it will be a huge win-win for all involved.

RE: Satellite Radio
I am in the same situation, I had sirius in my old mustang3M'd to my dash board bc i didnt care too much. I loved the service, and Howard Stern is great on the way to work. Now that I have the new stang, I'm looking to put sirius in but im not sure how to mount it so that it looks good and doesnt harm the dash, etc. Does anyone have any pictures of how they mounted their sirius or XM, or at least a good explanation, along with which receiver?
