If you add headers and high flow cats to your exhaust the flowmasters sound awesome! This is the path I will be taking, because the difference in sound and power is great!

I'm leaning toward getting rid of my Flowmaster also. With stock headers and mid pipe they were fine. Now I have Hookers L/T headers and o/r x-pipe and the flowmasters sound #@$^^*!

How much do those SLP Loudmouths go for? They really sound mean as hell.

Viking, I have the same exact car. Man those stripes make it look mean. Are they painted or vinyl?

I just got my mac's about a week ago and am more then pleased with the sound. I think they really make the car sound the way it should.
I have the MAC's as well, aside from some drone that I'm getting used to they rock!

I HAVE NO MUFFLERS AT ALL!!!!!!!!! I got rid of them. Left everything else stock. Had a local shop put 3" stainless slash cut tips out the back and eliminate the mufflers. I LOVE IT. The only time I get a drone "sonic resonance" is when under light acceleration around 25-30 mph (I have an auto and I'm sorry I don't know the RPM) The car sounds wicked at idle, and will scare kids when I get on it. At highway speed there is nothing but a very smooth mellow tone. Before the cats heat up I have been told it sounds like a Diesel truck. Once they get warm the sound becomes very deep and smooth.

You probably saved a lot of money over the SLP Loudmouths that are actually just pretty muffler eliminators.

Total cost was $75 and that included Magnaflow Stainless tips. I tried to get a sound byte with my digital camera but it seems to have a noise limiter on it. The sound kept cutting out. I got some fair video at idle but as soon as I tried to rev it breaks up.
