Default Lights don't flash?

So every other car that I have owned with remote door locks has always had lights that flash when you lock, or unlock, the doors. Well my parking lights flash when I lock the car, but nothing flashes when I unlock the car. Is this normal for the mustang, or do I need to make a trip to my local Ford dealer?

The lights flashing on unlock is pretty standard on GM products and I was surprised that the Mustang only did it when locking. I also notice that when I click the lock botton twice the horn sounds so it seems like that means the active alarm is on as opposed to just locking with one click.

According to the manual, the alarm is on either way. The double push just gives you an additional audio confirmation. It will give you two beeps if there's an open door or something.

Yeah, and if you push to lock it when the trunk is open, it wont actually lock and confirm with the light flash until after you secure the trunk. Pretty cool! But, yeah, the flash on unlock is standard on GM's but the Mustang only does the dome on.

I kinda like the flashing when unlocking the doors. I guess the next question is how do I mod it to do what I want? Any ideas?
