Default Exhaust - More Info after reading all the posts (I THink)

I just got an '06 GT Premium and quiet frankly disappointed with the sound of the exhaust. Let me go ahead and start my flame,... but my other vehicle is a 2000 Chevy Silverado Z-71. I know the Ford/Chevy controversy, but I grew up in a 66 Stang and had to have another.

Anyway,
I've decided on the SLP Loudmouth http://www.mustangtuning.com/axexlmo20mug.html

If I'm reading correctly, this is basically a kit that removes the mufflers all together and leaves only the cats on the car? The truck has dual exhaust from the cat back - no mufflers and love the sound it produces...

If I decide later to add an X-Pipe, does that mean I have spent this money for nothing or will the pipe and axel back hook up?

Should I suck it up now and do the SLP Loudmouth Catback? Link

Also, regards to installation? Any welding involved or is a unbolt the old and bolt-in the new type deal? I don't have a garage readily available to do much more involved mods.

Thoughts?

well the catback is for 99-04 mustangs only. the axle back install appears to be a very simple easy one, just some unbolting to be done. ive heard great things about the loudmouths, but u should also look into the borla catback if ur looking for something meaner.

and no, ur not the only one who thinks the exhaust is too timid.
