How accurate is INFO?

Well,
From the responses, the MPG INFO seems pretty much useless...
I guess it's better to just use the miles traveled/gallons used to calculate. (after reseting both at the same time I assume...)
Thanks for all the feedback.

Sorry, but I would have to disagree. I reset the info center after every fillup and I think its very accurate.
At my last fillup, the info center indicated 11.8 gals and 22.8 MPG. I filled it with 11.868 actual gallons and my manual calculation ( @ 271.2 miles) came up to 22.851 MPG. 22.8 MPG vs 22.851 MPG is pretty close.
In the previous fillup before that, the info center indicated 14.5 gals and 22.3 MPG.
The actual gallons came up to 14.403 (I did not pump the nozzle after the first stop) and my manual calculation (@ 324.7 miles) came up to 22.544 MPG. Off by .244 MPG is not that bad.
Yes, the gauge is going to fluctuate after you first reset it because its calculating after certain amount of seconds.
Eventually, it will come up with an average that will come close to your actual average when you fill it up again.
From my experience, you shouldn't pump the nozzle no more than once after the first stop because if try to top it off then your calculation will definitely be off.
Try it at your next fillup.

I just got 24 MPG on a trip to Cheyenne and back with my GT at near 85MPH the whole way? How are you guys getting such horrible gas milage on the highway?

Southern California highways = a lot of stop and go or slowing up to get around dorky slow drivers.

RE: How accurate is INFO?
Mine is right on the money. I checked it the first 10 fill-ups and did my own manual calc and the largest variance was .1 MPG. I only reset at fill-up. An average is just that. If you've reset and driven a half mile in the city and burned .025 gallons the numbers are going to be all over the place if you watch it because the fuel consumption vs distance at any given point has a large percentage effect on the total average. Whereas if at 200 miles the additional half mile and .025 gallons used has little effect on the average.
In other words the number 2 has a greater effect on the averege of (2+3), then it does on the average of (2+3+2+3+2+3+2+3+2+3+2+3+2+3+2+3).
Give it a tank at least.

RE: How accurate is INFO?
I'm getting about 19.3 MPG and reset at the time of fill-ups. The avg MPH is calculated based on engine time and actual travel speed. Try resetting it while on a trip with no stops, you will then get a number that makes sense.
