Default E-mail from Ford.

My local dealership sent an e-mail out for the 07 Cobra, a link to info or something so you can bid on the Cobra's they are getting.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...490%26fvi%3D1/ That's the link.

Smart way of doing business... sucks for the consumer though.

That really sucks... a lot of people may not realize that they're bidding to pay $x OVER MSRP. So, it's not a bid on what the car will be sold for.

I bet a lot of people aren't going to read the fine print and get screwed on that.

My own personal view is anyone who pays OVER MSRP is a idiot. The only reason they get away with this is there are STUPID people who will pay. Exactly the reason why i waited almost two years before i purchased my GT. The dealers here did the same thing could not buy a GT for less than 8k over MSRP.

Ford wonders why they are having bad sales? Well... here's an idea... don't make us pay more then the cars are worth and maybe people will buy more of them! The mustang has always been a best seller, which is why... hello, it's got 40+ years under its belt. Though the whole mark-up is retarded. Whatever floats their boat.

The mustang is an anomaly. You won't see people paying over MSRP for a fusion, or taurus, or 500, etc. etc.

The dealers are the ones making a mint off the sales, Ford only sees what the dealer bought it for.

Yes well, if the Dealer's were making good deals... Ford would be seeing a lot more sales. Would I have paid $40k for a GT? no... but some people did.
