OK ... before everyone's blood pressure rises over yet another stripe thread, here's a disclaimer ...

I already know what color stripes I want ... Satin Silver (car is Tungsten Grey GT 'vert)

I already know what size stripes I want ... 10" with 2" space between.

Now ... all that out of the way, what I need are some good reccommendations on precut stripe kits in the above color and spacing. I was looking at the ones from Auto Trim Design, but the only silver they show is "Metallic Silver." I'm looking for a satin silver finish.

I was getting quotes on having the stripes painted on, but the best custom/restoration shop in the area quoted $845 just to paint them over my existing finish ... no clear coat and no blending. To have them blended and clear coated would have been upwards of $3K. They also didn't sound enthusiastic about painting and then simply clearcoating over them. They said they would either do painted-only over the existing finish, or an entirely new color sand and clearcoat job.

The dealer did, however, give me the number of a good vinyl graphics installer, who has several contracts to do police and EMS vehicles in the area.

So ... unless something drastic happens ... it looks like I'll be going the vinyl route, being that the other options aren't really cost effective.

Anyone have a quality vinyl precut kit they think is top rate?
