Octane boosters are just that... they boost octane... If your engine isnt seriously moded you dont need it and it wont help you either...

Never use octane booster. If you definatively need a boost, buy race gas or Toluene. Octane booster generally has additives in it that can be detrimental to your fuel system with prolonged use.

besides toluene you need something to protect the seals of injectors and fuel delivery system. ATF fluid is commonly used. I don't have the proportions here, but will look for them and edit the post.

If you're not advicing timing or having a specific program for more than 95 oct fuel, you dont need it (like water/meth)

DO not use any octane booster in your car it can cause major issues. I think there was a thread here that someone posted about all the problems he had when he used some. This stuff doesn't even raise the Octane rating enough to justify it either. If you add the required amount hat they say to 91 Octane fuel it will make the 91 Octane into 91.3 that is it.

Come on guys, let's at least look through one days worth of threads before making a post. Here's a link to the same question thread that was started this morning.

If we keep bombarding the forum with multiple threads, it's going to be very difficult for people to find actual TECH information amoungst the sea of double posts and non-tech posts here.

I'm not bashing you, LesteR, I know you just didn't see it, but I'm making this post in general to all to help the 05/06 tech area in general cause it needs it.

Octane Boosters are worthless and a scam at best. I tried several types in first gen Kenne Bell supercharged lightning and they NEVER helped me put any more timing in it...
