I hesitated to say it but replacing it is the right solution. My dealer replaced mine 3 weeks ago, had CD's stuck in it, just got them back last week. I have to say the new unit has never skipped or failed to read a disk and I use mostly MP3 disks, but then it has only been 3 weeks!

 

I had "bad disc" on a regular basis. I'd pop it back in and it would work fine. They were all CD+RW mp3 disks I made on the computer. Right out of the box so I'm sure they were in good shape. I've since replaced the system and have no read problems with the Eclipse.
