I have the hooker x-pipe that uses the stock cats, I also have flowmasters and my car sounds badass! Its not as loud as I want it, so I still gotta figure that one out, however you can really feel the engine open up when you slam the throttle, I feel a difference everytime I hit the gas. Well worth it, get an x-pipe, it;ll be awesome

I got the pypes off road x from brenspeed. I noticed a difference in power. I have a couple of new squeeks that I am trying to find and stop now though. I guess the vibrations are making the heat shields under the car rattle. THe x pipe is a little raspier than I thought and at certain rpm's it howls. I am happy with it though.

with an x pipe, do you require a mil eliminator? i am keeping my exaust options open until i find the right one. so far its the magnaflo but the x pipe may be another path i may venture. what are the benefits of an x pipe? over an H pipe? over seperate pipes not joined?

would an x pipe be more beneficial for a v6 or v8?

sorry for the idiotic questions, i come from a 450hp awd wrx with a 3.75" custom exaust, and i did my research, as i am doing now.

I started with the UPR off-road x-pipe, but had vibration issues that I eventually traced to the hangers. So I went with the Pypes off-road H-pipe. They are both awesome and provide very noticeable increases in power. The H appears more low end torque oriented, while the x would seem more mid to upper hp inclined. The h has more classic muscle car sound, while the x might be more of a nascar sound.

Good Luck!!

I recently installed a set of Magnaflow free flow cats with X-Pipes I have not dynoed it yet but I can definitely feel a difference. I can't wait to get it to the strip this weekend to see if my times drop.

ricva,

How was the fittment of the magnaflo? how easy was the install? did you have a cel issue? is there even a o2 sensor that needs to be attatched? a picture wouls actually be excellent!

is the v6 exaust from magnaflo a dual exaust? if so since the v6 has only one exaust, does the chassis still come with hangers?

I had to spread the two pipes apart at the cats to match the spread of the old pipes going up to the manifolds. The drivers side pipe leaving the X-Pipe was to short I had to buy a section of 2-1/2"stainless pipe and order another mid section coupling to make them work. The pipes game with the bung holes 3 of them for the existing 02 sensors which I did not need 02 ext. I have had no cell issues.
I cannot answer any questions about a V-6 I have a GT. Maybe you could contact Joe at www.completeexhaust.com

thanks!

although i am just interested in the exhaust not the x pipe portion if it involves relocating the o2 sensor. that would give my dealership a warranty issue.
