RE: Speaker replacements
Old post but im pumped about my new system. One thing i cannot stand, is the stocksound system in this car. And as we all know, we mod our cars up to a level that we expect, how can one leave the sound system unchanged? Anyway, i swapped out the fronts with infinity reference and the rear with boston sl80. I then slapped 2 10" JL audios in the back. The fronts are powered by a kicker 4 channel amp, while the subs are powered with a 2 channel amp (subs are dual-coil, and they sound great with this 1500 watt kicker amp). My avic-d3 replaced the crappy factory deck, and made the biggest difference. For u huge sound system fans, dont be scared with the tuning off the avic deck, it is fairy easy once u have set up your amps with the correct tuning. The new deck makes my 2007 gt look much cleaner....Now i just need a spare whipple or KB set-up...sighhhh

RE: Speaker replacements
I noticed that the Infiniti 682.7 speakers are 2 ohm, not 4 ohm like the other infiniti speakers or those that come installed with the Shaker 500. Has anyone had trouble with that? Does anyone know if the Shaker HU will be able to handle the 2 ohm speakers? Lower impedance means more current, just want to make sure I don't burn the HU up.
