A lot of things that you normally find on a car in this price range are missing. I still love the car, but it is annoying to me that a car in this price range has missed so many of the comfortable things that people are used to. Some of the thing I reall wanted, I just added myself, some I still pan to add.

No locking duel door/release
No trunk release
No exterior temp or compass on the "info center"
No option for a sunroof
No auto domming mirror
No power seat on the passenger side
No heated seats
No built in garage door opener
Sound system that sounds like a sub in a soup can submerged underwater

All of these are fairly basic on a car in this price range, hell even my Ford Taurus had all of these options. But hey, my Taurus did not have 300+ HP either.

thats just the thing, you are paying for more horsepower and less luxury. remember, you bought a MUSCLE CAR! 300 hp, under 30 grand and can compete with many sports cars that come at a higher price!

btw, i think i have seen an install on a trunk release button somewhere. i will try to find it a little later.

If you don't mind doing some wiring, you should be able to add one by taping some wires at the smart junction box. It's behind that plastic door on the passenger side kick panel. I seem to remember someone posting on here which wires to tap.

I like it the way it is on the key fob. You really don't need any more than that.

I did this mod for less than $3 and now have a trunk release in the glove box. It was posted here by Odiaz under RE: Informational Documents - 5/3/2006 8:57:44 PM. It is to easy. Also use a quick connect to attached the trunk release hot wire instead of splicing.
