First "Real" Mod is about to be done!
Hey all,
Well I'm about to begin changing my bumpers out along with replacing my side skirts with the GT styled bumpers. Including Fogs and all, that jazz, so heres my question.
I have that goofy first generation side stripe on my car and IT NEEDS TO GO, also eventually I'm planning on doing custom painted stripes, and the side stripe would look just silly lookin with the stripes I have planned.
So the thing is: How do i take this god awful thing off, and is my paint under there gonna look differnt than the rest of the car???
It's been on for almost 1 year, and has endured rain, sleet, snow, everything, so will the paint be noticibly differnt?
Help!

Moat autoparts stores have "decal remover", if you can't find it there, check with a graphics shop. There could be some paint difference. But a good cleaner wax should make it look OK again.
Check on the net for removing decals, also.

Like Lejay .. I also don't think so on the paint.. with a GOOD wax job after you remove the stripes..
but I guess you will know that better than us when you are done removing those stripes..
best of luck

All that you have to do is use a hair dryer and heat up the decals a little and that will make them come off easier. By heating the vinyl that is on the car, you will peel off the sticker with the residue so nothing is left on your car after you are done.
