I don't think you'll see too much of a drop anytime soon. I don't think things will drop until there is a lot more competition in the marketplace, and that will happen slowly. I've been modding cars and motorcycles for a long time, and it appears to me that most of the Mustang parts are quite reasonably priced, and are in line with similar products for similar vehicles.

As for the CAI, I bought the C&L CAI. It was close to $300. Personally, I was extremely satisfied that I recived my money's worth. There were two relatively large cast aluminum pieces in the kit. Both were EXTREMELY high quality castings, with the smallest amount of flash or "parting line crud" that I have ever seen. I was fully expecting to port and polish the parts, but I didn't even bother, they were so nice. The machining where the MAF sensor is located was very well done. The completeness of the kit was also excellent, and the air filter was both large and of high quality as well. I can't comment on other kits, as I don't have any experience with them, but for the C&L it is more than worth $300, IMHO.

As long as we keep buying them it will stay that way. The steeda pullys went down 50 bucks, so maybe nobody is buying them right now. I did and they work and was well worth the money.

Check eBay or the For Sale forum. I got my MAC for $140. Was also bidding on a K&N that went for $150.
