Depending on your state, however in South Carolina you should have been issued an insurance copy to give to your insurance company within 15 days, on there it will say who contributed to the accident. It will say yes or no.

A couple of general observations, which might get me flamed or perhaps there will be a movement to ban me. I hope not. Since I know my opinions may differ from some of those who were involved in last weeks "ban-em" threads, I don't want to start another flaming war.

1) Where I come from, no fault does NOT mean no fault. There are chargeable accidents (any time there is a question as to fault), and non-chargeable accidents (meaning your car was parked or you were rearended or there was an admission of fault by the other driver). For chargeable accidents, you will most likely have to pay your deductible, and your safety rating goes down and your premium goes up. For nonchargeable accidents where there is another car involved, the other car's insurance will usually pay everything including your deductible. In my experience and knowledge of the law, no fault means that you are covered no matter who's fault it is, but you will get dinged for your negligence (solve or contributory) one way or another.

2) Whether you were "waved in" or not, "right-of way" is usually a matter of traffic law not hand gestures. Of course if you collide with the person that waves you in, that is possibly a different story.

3) Your repairs will be quite expensive. With no new parts, I was just given an estimate of over $2000 to repair similar damage (fender, fascia, but no hood damage) on my GM. No new parts, only repair.

Good luck.

Ok so i got a quote.
Crap
so its 850+Bumper of my choice(price includes painting it)
or 950 to fix the bumper i have

so the decision is $100 to fix my bumper or ~$400 to get the SSE bumper.
what would you guys do?

i think im getting a loan from the parents to pay it off now, then paying them back as i get money....so isit worth essentially $300 to gert the new bumper?
