Default "The Chevy Guys"

"The Chevy guys" were at the party I was at tonight. Both of them are parts guys at the local dealership. Both drive only chevy, wear clothing that says chevy all over it and bleed chevy blood. "OH MY, the dealership got the new corvette in today, it's already sold but I got to go on a test drive, what a car...WOW."

Wow I said. Oh by the way how much did it cost..."Oh...65,000" said Chevy coupe guy

"Yeah, it runs 11.6 out of the box" Said Chevy 4wheeler guy

"Mustang...FORD????" "Oh yeah scaught, that's a nice car but it is nothing like the new Vette"

What the hell are you driving? I asked, that beatup 2001 suburban? Please...

So that is how the night went. OH AH OH the new Vette and her 500 HP. What a load of ****... These guys will never own one and can't even aford the Mustang if they ever wanted one.

"So what do you have for 30,000$$$ on the lot comparable to 13.2???" I asked, Nothing???? Nothing at all????

Thats what I thought...

I now hate Chevy and Chevy guys...

With a passion

I feel you there.
But there is a car almost comparable to 13.2. But then again it is supercharged and has high performance parts. But then again it is a four-cylinder. Adding mods to it doesnt do much. cold air might add 5-8hp.

My bad, I didnt realize the car was modded. I kind of thought that 1/4 mile was really high
This is more realistic.

Hey now! I'm a Chevy guy! I've had 21 Chevys (GM's) in a row, but then I turned to the dark side. My Nova is the only thing keeping me from becoming truely evil. lol

I have no preference for either or, but I like ford for making an affordable muscle car.
And when someone compares a Corvette to a Mustang they have to be dumb. Compare the GT to a Corvette. Thats a very close comparison.

It's like comparing a Corvette to a Viper. Your get more bang for your buck with the Vette dollar per dollar, I figuire it's the same with a Mustang GT. I would rather spend the money on 2 Mustang GT's then 1 Vette.

I own a 97 Vette and an 06 GT vert. I like the vette for racing and the mustang for cruising. The vette is a car that requires a lot of attention. The mustang is completely opposite. Your Chevy guy was lying about the 1/4 mile time as well, the ZO6 runs a 12.2 1/4. Not worth the 78k price tag that you would pay for one. I know this because my uncle has one. IMO you are paying for the name with a vette. IMO if it looks sport, is fast, fun, and turns heads I'll drive it. I am not really loyal to any car company. I know my next car I am getting next year is going to be a Lotus Exgie.

But the you forgot to mention that for $65-78 grand the *****/ego extension comes standard with the Vette! [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
