It's not too cheesy, but I might want to take it off. It's a small chrome emblem. I'm afraid I'll rip the paint off if I screw with it.

 

Take a hair dryer and heat the emblem. Slowly peel it off.

Wipe off any excess "sticky" with some GooGone.

Done. ^_^

 

I have heard to use small test fishing line like a saw going behind it afterwarming with a dryer helps also.

 

+1. Those are usually just stuck on with a cheap adhesive. If in doubt call the dealer for advise, most will pull it off for you if asked, that way they are responsible for the paint. After all they put it there.

 

I always take all dealer advertisement emblems off of all of my cars. Simple to do. Just use heat like everyone so far has said. Use some denatured alcohol with something soft, like a cotton cloth diaper to wipe off the remaining glue. Cleaner wax or cleaner polish on the spot when you're done should have it looking perfect. The longer you wait, the tougher the glue sets up, so you should get it off ASAP.

I took mine off yesterday. It was nice sunny day here in NJ, around mid 70s. Grew a fingernail and hey presto! Rubbed the goo off with my finger no probs....Oh and my back end looks 10x better w/o it
