That was my impression of the '06 GT stick that I test drove....but with only a few miles it could still loosen up a bit. Still quick enough for me to plunk down my deposit with no hesitation.

Forgot about the traction control. No wonder the dealer told me I could gun it. Duh.

I have auto trans.. the first thing I did was WOT from a dead stop to see if it would spin the wheels or not.. the salesman didn't care.. as I told him I was going to do it.. if not I am not going to buy the car.. some have said with the stock auto trans they can't spin the tires... I never had that problem with mine.. maybe there is a difference in cars.. ..??? a +` on the traction control...
with that said..
best thing IMO if you like the auto trans. is change the rear end gears .. the manual trans. has a 3.53 and the auto a 3.03.?? <-- not 100% on that number..

anyway I went with 3.73 gears and love them .. spinning tires at will.. and best bang for the buck IMO as far as fun factor.. with a auto trans..

then a CAI and a tune.. and even move "fun factor" lol

The SCT can disable traction controll completely, but, you will have to go back to your dealer to disable and re-enable it.

I dont follow. SO, if I get an SCT I can turn off the traction control but I cant set it back to factory without going to the dealer and dealing with their crap?
