Let's go way back to basics. The 05 GT I bought about a month ago has a CAI and Steeda axle back exhaust on it. The guy who I bought it from gave me the SCT excailiber tuner that he had. It doesn't have a display but just a series of lights that designate stock seting, setting 2 etc. My question is this. If I make performance modification to my engine do I send the tuner back to whoever, tell them what mods I have and then for a price they re-program the tuner to reflect these changes?

 

Don't really know which tuner you have and who programmed it, but yeah that's how it usually works. I know Brenspeed will give you new tunes for free if you bought the tuner from them and then buy your mods from them also.

You most likely would want an Excal-II as it features user adjustability.

 

Sounds like you have the original SCT Xcalibrator. Most tuners should be able to adjust it to your mods.
