Well? This look about right to you guys? I don't want a trunk mounted sub.

To be honest with you, these will not get you even close to the same effect as if you had real subs. They may be 120watts rms, but only being 8" and very shallow, they won't hit hard at all. If you want sounds of a real sub, there is no real alternative. But if you want good all around bass these probably would be great !, just make sure to power them with an amp to get your money's worth.

Ideally the door sub would be crossed over at ~50Hz, with a 12" or 15" in the trunk to fill in the bottom. In which case that sub would work quite well... far better than stock. Premier's specs put it at 2.5" deep so it should fit in the door just fine.

I thought it'd be a good idea to throw out the spare tire and mount a sub in its place with some see-through material. That'd rock faces... until you blow a tire.

I dont know if youve ever heard pioneers premier subs. They sound like SH*t. I love pioneers head units and speakers are ok, but their primer brand subs suck nuts. go to your local best buy or car audio shop, and listen to them compared to other subs they suck. Im an alpine guy through and through, but thats because i love sound quality. I guess it would defenitly be better than stock, but for $77 you could buy a better pair of alpine or jlaudio regular speakers and get better bass outta them. First things first if you want better sound quality upgrade your headunit. I dunno about the shaker 1000 but i have the 500 and i know there is no mids, if you want better sound quality upgrade the head unit because itll have a better equilizer for treble mid and bass. Almost 99%of cars w/ aftermarket head units sound better. I bet even a POS clarion would b better sound quality.
