Cat Back System pointless?

Cat Back System pointless?

I talked to a muffler shop about a magnaflow catback system for a friend for his 05 GT. They quoted 450.

He went to another shop and they told him a catback is pointless and he only needs the axle back system and quoted 270.

Thoughts?

catback will net you a couple horses and a great sound. if you want to improve the looks and sound of the car, its a good idea, for power go with LT headers though
