FRONT CLUNKING NOISE...
when driving over bumps has got to be addressed. I have printed out threads from 3 diff forums on this. I have an 06 with fans and it didn't do it the firt 2 days i owned it. The tech is fkin full of **** when he told me that the tight suspension is doing it. It's the upper strut mounts....they are defective. I am convinced of it and will dig into their asses on tomorrow.
I will get this fixed and let you guys know. No way will I tolerate it. This is EXACTLY the kind of noise that give american car companies bad names. Cheap fkin noises like this.

RE: FRONT CLUNKING NOISE...
you will not get anywhere fast with complaining cause as of right now there is a loud suspension concern over bumps on the 06 only the 05 concern is popping noise on turns. i am a tech at ford which i also own an 06 with the same issue i have also had numerous customers come in for the same concern but there is NO fix as of YET i called the ford hotline and they DO realize and said a tsb WILL be releases but no date as of yet so all we can do is wait.

RE: FRONT CLUNKING NOISE...
Hope they find a fix quick. I'm beginning to not like driving this car because of this clunking. I'd rather go in my wifes Maxima! I hate to say it but it's a quality car compared to this Mustang. And almost as fast!

RE: FRONT CLUNKING NOISE...
Any idea why its only on the right side? Do you think its related to the strut top bushing or mount? Strut related?
I don't guess they plan on fixin the defrost/vent issue either? nasty fog light lenses?
My 06 needs: TSB Fuel Pump, TSB Rear End, TSB Exhaust Noise, and the drivetrain sounds like CRAP if you drive it easy...

RE: FRONT CLUNKING NOISE...
I have a pre april 2005 GT and it was making the clunking noise, Ford fixed it no questions asked under warranty. I can tell you that the noise it was making according to the TSB is different than what you have described. The TSB is for a clicking noise that occurs during cornering, when the strut mounts were fixed the noise was gone.

RE: FRONT CLUNKING NOISE...
Totally different noise. Our 06's have the isolator that yours did not have from the factory. Mine makes no noise turning, only going slow over bumps.

RE: FRONT CLUNKING NOISE...
I had the poping fixed with the TSB for the 05. But ever since day one I have had that clunking sound which I believe to be the dampning of the strut. The standard answer was "it's a mustang they ride stiff and are gonna make noise". Well to that I say "BS" Has anybody put the Roush front struts on and do they make the same clunk? I just have the Roush Rear Suspention. Let us know.

hahaha its funny to see all the same probs and everyone being pissed but its definately annoying i will most likely be doing the tokico d specs and sportlines soon so i will attempt to keep you guys informed if that does the trick. in the mean time hopefully they(ford) fix it asap. if anyone else beats me to the punch of a new suspension and its fixed let us know.
